REJUVENATION & REPAIR

PRP Platelet Rich Plasma

How does PRP treatment for your face work?

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) therapy is a completely natural method for skin rejuvenation and repair.

By harnessing the natural healing power of your own blood, this treatment can reduce fine lines and wrinkles in the face, neck and back of your hands.

PRP therapy can also be highly effective for treating scars such as surgical, stretch marks and acne.

Platelet Rich Plasma uses the bodies own healing process to slow down or delay the signs of aging.

PRP involves taking a small sample of blood from the arm, spinning it in a centrifuge machine to separate the red blood cells from the plasma and injecting or microneedling the plasma back into the skin to stimulate collagen production.

This Platelet Rich Plasma contains natural growth factors which stimulate inactive cells to promote collagen and tissue growth revitalising the skin and giving it a firmer, more youthful appearance.

We offer PRP treatment in the face, neck, decolletage and hands.

Appointment time 90mins.

Every 4-6 weeks between sessions for optimum results we recommend at least three sessions.

All PRP treatments are supplemented with Dermalux LED this will help to calm the skin after PRP and reduce recovery time.

How does PRP treatment for your hair work?

PRP uses the platelet rich plasma that can promote growth of the hair follicles by stimulating the cells in the micro-environment of the hair follicle and increase vascularity to the hair root.

PRP stimulates inactive or newly implanted hair follicles into an active growth phase.

If your hair is starting to thin with age or your hairline is starting to recede book a consultation with us to start your treatment journey.

  • PRP is a non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment. This means there is no need for a general anaesthetic.

Depending on the area requiring treatment, this will be done by either superficial injections points or using a microneedling device.

Before treatment, we can apply a local anaesthetic cream to reduce any discomfort.

  • PRP treatments are a safe and effective way to treat a variety of conditions. Medically PRP is used for the healing of injured tendons, muscles, and joints and wound healing.

Some people can experience some mild redness and swelling due to the tiny injection points and microneedling however, this will resolve without intervention within 24-48hrs.

There is no downtime associated with this treatment.

  • Following PR treatment, it is vital to maintain cleanliness and ensure the treated area remains dry for a few hours.

You may experience numbness or tingling however, there is no extensive downtime allowing you to resume regular activities the following day.

For hair loss treatment - in the weeks to follow, growth factors and nutrients from the PRP will stimulate hair follicles, possibly leading to reduced hair shedding and improved thickness and texture.

Individual results can vary so additional sessions might be required.
